Civic Voices
Civic Voices - Youth Engagement for Peace and Democracy empowers young people across Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Czechia to become active agents of change and bridges the gap with democratic institutions.
By combining human rights education, democratic simulations, and peace education, we help young citizens develop vital civic, social, and intercultural skills.
Through participatory workshops, innovative educational tools, transnational mobilities, and youth-led initiatives, the project strengthens critical thinking and active engagement to build more inclusive, resilient, and democratic communities.
Project objectives
Increase Civic Engagement:
Empower 120+ youth through democratic labs and youth-led initiatives.
Develop Competences for Active Citizenship:
Deliver training to 60+ youth workers using developed educational Toolkit Voices into Action.
Promote Collaboration:
Foster cross-border collaboration dialogue via 4 transnational exchanges and creation of intercultural youth networks.
Strengthen Youth Voices in Policy-Making:
Create Peace in Action: A Youth Manifesto and present it at the final conference in Brussels.
Target groups
Young people (15–29 years old):
Including those from disadvantaged, migrant, or minority backgrounds seeking inclusive spaces to build leadership and critical thinking.
Youth workers and educators:
Professionals requiring practical training and accessible resources to guide young people in civic engagement and democratic participation.
Civil society organisations and local institutions:
Organisations looking for capacity building to sustain youth initiatives and embed participatory practices.
Activities
Toolkit Development:
Creating and piloting the Voices into Action multilingual toolkit in English, Italian, Czech, and Dutch.
Youth Democratic Labs:
Organizing local workshops, youth-led initiatives, and transnational mobility.
Call for Peace:
Creating the Youth Manifesto and organizing the final conference in Brussels.
Dissemination:
Spreading project results and sustainable resources at local and European levels.
